Terms of Service

These terms cover the SocialQuack software, this website and the online services that support them. By buying, installing or using SocialQuack you agree to them. Contact: [email protected].

1. What you are buying

Lifetime license. A one-time purchase gives you a perpetual license to install and use SocialQuack on the number of computers shown for your plan (2 for Pro, 10 for Team), for your own or your business's social media accounts. The version you have keeps working for as long as you like. All updates we release are included, for as long as the product exists, at no extra cost.

Subscription. Where offered, a subscription gives you the same software for as long as the subscription is active, with all updates released during that time, plus any extras listed on the pricing page. It renews monthly or yearly, as chosen, until you cancel from the billing page linked in the app (Settings → License → Manage subscription) or in your receipt email. When a subscription ends the app stops connecting accounts and publishing about seven days later; your data stays on your computer.

Updates renewal. Where updates are included for a limited period, a renewal purchase adds another year from the end of your current updates period. It is applied to the license key you already have; there is no separate renewal key.

Team license. Permits use by the people in one organisation, or by an agency on behalf of its clients, within the activation limit. It does not include source code.

Payment and invoices are handled by Stripe, our payment provider and merchant of record for the transaction, which also collects and remits any VAT or sales tax due. Stripe's terms apply to the payment. License keys are issued by us and emailed to you after payment.

2. Refunds

14 days, no questions asked. Within 14 days of a lifetime purchase you may ask for a refund for any reason — it didn't do what you hoped, a platform you needed isn't supported, you changed your mind. Email [email protected] with your order number or license key.

What is refunded. We refund the price you paid less the payment-processing and merchant-of-record fees that our payment provider, Stripe, keeps on a refunded order, because those fees are not returned to us. Any sales tax or VAT charged on the order is refunded in full and is not part of the deduction. We will tell you the exact amount before processing the refund. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. Once refunded, the license key is deactivated and you must delete the software.

After 14 days a lifetime purchase is final, except where consumer law in your country gives you a longer right. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and stop at the end of the paid period; we do not refund part-periods. Updates renewals are final once the key has been applied. If you run into a problem, contact us before opening a chargeback with your bank — a refund from us is faster for you and cheaper for everyone.

3. What you may not do

You may not resell, sublicense, rent or share license keys; remove or bypass the licensing; reverse engineer the software except where the law allows; or use it to send spam, harass people, post unlawful content, or break the rules of any platform you post to. Each platform's terms bind you when you connect it, and you are responsible for the developer apps you create with them and for what you publish.

4. Your accounts and data

SocialQuack runs on your computer and stores your accounts, tokens and posts there. You are responsible for keeping that computer and any backups secure. We never hold your platform credentials. See the Privacy Policy for what our relays and this website process.

5. Platforms change

Social platforms change and withdraw their APIs, review policies and rate limits without notice, and can restrict or reject developer apps. We work to keep every supported platform posting, but we cannot guarantee that any platform will remain available, that a platform will approve your developer app, or that a post will be delivered. Platform availability is not a ground for refund outside the 14-day window.

6. Fair use of the online services

The update feed, sign-in relay and media relay are provided to licensed users for normal personal or business posting. We may apply limits, and we may suspend a license key that is used for abuse, illegal content or unusual volumes. You can always use your own storage instead of the media relay.

7. AI assistants

Anything an AI assistant schedules through SocialQuack is your content and your responsibility. Review what it queues before it posts.

8. No warranty, limited liability

SocialQuack is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, and our total liability to you for anything arising from the software or services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change and material changes will be noted in the changelog. Continuing to use SocialQuack after a change means you accept it. We may terminate a license for a serious breach of section 3. You may stop using SocialQuack at any time by deleting it.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes will be heard in its courts, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
